Three TPPB board members retire
The Texas Peanut Producers Board is saying goodbye to three dedicated, longtime directors with 100 years of combined service to the state’s board as they retire from their long-held positions. Ted Higginbottom of Seminole, Billy Shannon of Quitaque and Clifton Stacy of Pearsall leave behind them a well paved path of commitment, hard work and many accomplishments for the Texas peanut industry. March is National Peanut Month
March has more to boast than leprechauns and four leaf clovers. It’s a time for peanut lovers across the nation to indulge in America’s favorite snack nut, while celebrating National Peanut Month! TPPB encourages those young and old alike to include the delicious and nutritious legume in their daily diets this month. Peanut producers and consumers can help reduce the risk of obesity and diabetes by eating peanuts. Read more
Four directors elected to TPPB
The Texas Peanut Producers Board elected or re-elected four board directors during elections held in January. Each person elected will serve a six year term, or until the year 2018. Read more
